Buttercup Kitten Information
Our kittens start their lives in our bedroom. They are handled every day from birth to make sure each kitten is properly socialized. We do not cage our kittens! Their housemates are their mothers, aunts, and our dowager queen, Mocha. We also have a few canine playmates. Our cats are considered members of our family and are treated such. Our kittens come prespoiled and are very adaptive to their new homes. All Buttercup kittens are guaranteed to be free of Fel V, FIV, and Ringworm. Our kittens come with a comprehensive agreement that includes a written health guarantee. They will be wormed, up to date on vaccinations, and examined by our veterinarian before they leave to go their new homes. Our kittens have a 72 hour health guarantee and written agreement. Our kittens are available to go to their new home at 10 to 12 weeks of age. All kittens are American Cat Association registration eligible. We require that all pet quality kitten be spayed or neutered by their 6 month birthday. We have this policy to prevent unwanted Siamese cats and kittens that end up in animal shelters. When buying a pet quality kitten, registration certificates are sent to the buyers by certified mail within 7 business days after Buttercup cattery receives documented proof of spay or neuter, unless previous arrangements have been made.
Our kittens are fed Royal Canin Pro Baby Cat 34 and Pro Kitten 36. Each kitten comes with a Royal Canin kitten kit that contains a small sample of food to go with them to their new homes. We strongly recommend that the kitten remain on Royal Canin Pro Kitten 36 until one year of age. At that time, a Royal Canin Adult Formula would be needed. Royal Canin is a wonderful, natural food that greatly promotes good health and and longevity.

What Type of Siamese and Balinese Do We Have?
We primarily raise the traditional (applehead) or classic Siamese.
We also occasionally have the more moderate type of Siamese kittens. These kittens are very sleek with a short, close lying coat. They are not as extreme as the modern wedge, yet not as round and large bodied as the traditional type. They are a perfect medium between the two.
Balinese are simply a Siamese with a long, luxurious coat with a gorgeous plumed tail.
We do not have extreme wedge Siamese or Balinese kittens. They are beautiful cats. We decided to raise and preserve the traditional or old style Siamese in 1997. The traditional or "applehead" Siamese are the cats I had as a child. It was simply a matter of preference.
We have kittens in all four color points; seal, blue, chocolate, and lilac. Please keep in mind that we do not have all four colors in every litter. Each litter is unique.
